Now it is snowing.

The sun and warmth was last week. Now it is cold and wet. These abrupt "flip flops" in weather get us all down. Sid has been dealing better than most (or not so well depending how you look at it), by becoming a beer brewing machine.
By the look of the pictures, I guess he's found some "friends" (Emma's friends) to help him out.

Four days ago it was 70 degrees.

We had a lovely spat of 70 degree weather last week. During that warm spell, we took these pictures while visiting with our renter, Jen in our back yard.

The dog is our friend's. We were taking care of her while her owner was on vaca. Her name is Busby.
Emma loves Busby.

A sans Emma outing

Earlier this week, we had some nice weather; almost 60 degrees. Gail and Page watched Emma on tuesday while we went skiing at Moonlight. Sorry, no pictures of this- we were having too much fun in the snow and sun.

Wednesday was also nice, though little overcast. We dropped off Emma with Francoise and Phoebe and headed out to Headwaters State Park. This was the site of Emma's first backpack outing a year ago, if you recall. Here are some pictures of that day.

Visit to the Museum

Our local museum, The Museum of the Rockies has a fun treehouse exhibit up which combines a "how do toys work" theme with "hidden secrets of animals and nature". It is a fun interactive show for both parents, kids and grandparents. Gail, Page, Sid, Emma and I recently went there on a sunny, but cold Montana day.

An Idle Day

Desperate moms seem not to mind their wallets being rifled through and cell phones being abused by chubby fingered power-pressing. This was one such day. Mom was tired. Child was doing just fine!

Emma eating (part 2)

Even if it says "Image Not Available", try clicking play anyway.....
If 14 seconds of child eating was not enough, here you go:

Okay, this may only be fun for me, and Sid. But, it was fun to watch her "take charge" of her meal.
