Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby Emma says Happy Thanksgiving!

The l'il wonder slept from 10pm-3am and from 3:30am until 8 am. Go girl.

This is good news for mom because she has promised (crazily) to make pear salad, biscuits and cranberry apple pie for Thanksgiving with friends today in Livingston.

Dad gets to have ~4 hours of sleep (coming in from an overnight shift) before turkey and stuffing with friends.

There is snow all over the place here and it feels great.

Life is good.

Another trip to the library

I've been picking up videos to watch while I'm nursing. Emma has no choice but to come along. This last outing was a nice day. It was over 2 weeks ago. I am getting behind on the blogging.

That day she looked like an elf. I think it was the hat and the fact I didn't get it down over her ears all the way.

These were actually taken on Halloween day.

There are quite a few pictures of emma with the fire hydrant b/c I liked how the red matched her big bad booties.

These pictures were taken on a side street near the library. The house in the background is one of my favorite in Bozeman. The architect who re-did the house name is Thor Arnold (great name). He does really interesting things with old barns and has an interesting refurbished/sustainable style. There are solar panels in the back yard. This house he redid for his mother-in-law. Thor is married to the sister of my Pilates instructor. I love that I know this. I love this town.

Below Emma is humoring me and my amateur photography interests.

Happy Halloween!

Baby Pumpkin

We inherited the hat and booties from friends. Linda gave us the festive sleeper suit.

Papa Jas, as we like to call him.

Mamma, the coordinated with Emma, pumpkin witch. Emma and I made a 3 house rounds and got a selection of quality candy, which Emma was impartial too, but the witch loved.

Don't know what happened with the exposure of this; the AUTO feature on our camera is supposed to care of these things...

Sunding Outing to St. James*

Pre-departure. Baby Emma.

First Sunday church outing.
We walked down to the 10am service.

It was packed.

Sid and I after the service, in front of St. James.

The service included the bishop because it included a confirmation and renewal. It lasted 2 hours. Emma made it fine. Page only fidgeted a little.

The bishop received a signed game bat from the Colorado Rockies. I guess he is a fan. Too bad they are getting crushed by the Sox. 13 to 1 baby.

We were greeted by Valerie.

Still smiling, even after 2 hours. It was a beautiful day, warmish and in the 60s.

Today it is snowing.

*Pictures compliments of S. Page Williamson. Thanks Pops!

Kabeyun advertising

Chuck in a heart to heart the other day asked of Emma, "So, how would you like to work for me at Kabeyun; in say 17 years from now?"

Emma said, "Well, I like you. You are good at rocking and holding me. But, Kabeyun? Hmm."

"Let me think. Kabeyun... Have I every heard of Kabeyun?"

And again she thought, "Kabeyun. Where have I heard of that name?"
Finally she replied, "Let me strike a pose and ponder that name and option for a while."

"I'll get back to you after my nap."

....

Little Miss Knit

I seem to like present Emma in twos and threes. Here are some "fashion" shots of the peanut:

Emma has enough "day wear" now, but I couldn't resist this outfit (found it on-line). They call it "newborn pashima cable". Thank goodness it is made of acrylic, spit-up is hard on silk.

She looks stunningly cute in her "fashion cable sleeper". Plus, no need for a blanket.

Usually she kicks up her legs like this when she is feeling "gassy". But, she was far too content to be feeling under pressure. I think she was dreaming of dancing or possibly gymnastics competition. Note the hat; it is her only pink one. It has "Kabeyun" embroidered in it in blue. While she can't be a camper (alas, she is not a boy), we will be working on her early to get her addicted to the place (Family Camp), so that she will find a place as a counsellor and instructor. Go Emma.

Bradley Babes & their bambinos (a walk up Story Hills)

This is Becky (of Becky, Scooter and now Jackson family fame). Jackson is the male component of the outing.

Behind her is Molly and her daughter Phebe.

We are all graduates of the Jackie Robin school of Bradley births.

It was a beautiful October day in Montana...

Molly, Phebe, Jackson, & Becky (with the Baby Bjorn and the stroller B-O-B).

We all were a bit dazed, but bonded over newborn mother's stories of feeding interval sagas, nighttime angst towards are blissfully sleeping husbands, and personal story telling of lactation variability.

High adventure information, good stuff for a novel

Deep in the heart of the Story HIlls (from the road), with the high peaks of the Bridger Range behind.

The little cute one!!!

Fall Foray

Emma, her stroller and our backyard fence.
The foray begins.

Note apples on ground.
It was a BIG apple year for town.
We could have had gallons and gallons of cider.
As it was, we collected enough for 1/2 gallon.

Next year we will do better.

1/2 way to the library. The Britax Vigour stroller is great, but note jacket attached to top. The visor is minimally useful; not enough coverage to protect her face from the sun.

Otherwise this stoller system is fabulous. I should have taken pictures of the wheels, they are hardcore.

Like Emma and I.

Note the intense residential environment we have exposed ourselves too. I am teaching Emma to be fearless. Those leaves are dangerous.

More dangerous leaves and her big feet.

See the smile? Emma is showing a little of her personality I think.
